Depuis une petite pièce / From a small room
(« Here is a song about where I live that tells the story of a room so small » / « Voici une chanson à propos d’où je vis qui parle d’une petite pièce »).
From a small room
Here is a song about where I live
That tells the story of a room so small
You’re about to hear a melody
I used to sing for my for walls
There’s a lot of books on the shelf
That tell nothing about this song
And the ceiling is so close to my head
That when I sing the books could fall
From this room to your ear
Five chords and a will to sing
For the neighbourhood
Around this room
When the moon shine so clear
Wistling and singing
For the neighbourhood
Out of this room
There’s a melody in my head
And a story I want to tell
Her’s a song about my place
From this room to your ear
Five chords and a will to sing
For the neighbourhood
Around this room
When the moon shine so clear
Wistling and singing
From a small room
